In what many climate scientists, journalists and followers of his popular Climate Progress blog are calling a completely predictable event, Joseph Romm’s head appears to have finally exploded because of the country’s enduring idiocy.
In Romm’s last post about a new poll that indicates only 37 percent of the country approves of a moratorium on oil shale development in the Rockies, the opinionated climate pundit was pontificating on how scientists lack any ability to communicate the problem and that journalists like Andy Revkin deserve more blame for global warming than all the coal power plants in China. Part of the way through the post, reports tell us that his head appears to have spontaneously combusted. Romm’s final words to the planet he tried so valiantly to save were: “…when so many articles tell the country that we’re actually on a cooling trend, which I have personally debunked 1,000 times over, how could you expect the public to adsfhj 8o;ioha;ewoadjklsjkl hin;oen.”
It remains unclear if his suddenly headless body simply pitched forward and randomly hit the “Publish” button, or if the post was unleashed on the world by more sinister means. One anonymous source suggested Senator James Inhofe (R-OK) may have gleefully sent an aide to ensure the gore-inducing prose reached the public. Inhofe’s office did not return calls asking for a comment.
The question now arises of who will fill the void left by Romm’s disintegrated head. Time Magazine has called Romm the web’s most influential climate blogger, and it may be hard to find another so voraciously capable of bringing down consistent denier claims. He doled out blame to scientists, journalists, politicians and whoever else dared to parrot the stupidity that eventually caused his head to blow up.

To be fair, I wanted to return your calls but those damn touch tone phones are so damn complicated, and I’ve had a lot on my plate trying to round up my “one-man-truth-squad” for Copenhagen!

lol a number of the remarks readers enter are silly and unrelated, at times i think about whether they realistically read the content pages and items before posting or whether or not they simply look at the subject of the post and publish the initial thought that drifts into their minds. nonetheless, it is really nice to look over sensible commentary once in a while in contrast to the same exact, traditional oppinion vomit that i generally discover on the net i’m off to play a couple of hands of facebook poker adios
